This painting was inspired by holiday memories - a reminder of that calm feeling when trying to read a book by the pool, but the dazzling sun makes you feel sleepy and instead of reading, you just lie there, shading yourself with your book. I love the composition, the way the light and shadows fall, the richness of the oil paints and the texture from the brushstrokes.
Paper measures 10 x 14 inches / 254 x 355 mm inclusive of a 22 mm white border. Painted area measures 8.9 x 12.9 inches / 210 x 293 mm excluding the 22 mm white border.
Artist’s signature will be included on the front of the painting. The painting will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
